Terms of Service
At Coutinho Cleaning, we are dedicated to providing a high-quality cleaning experience. To ensure this, we have established a set of policies and procedures that guarantee fair and consistent service for all our clients. By following these guidelines, we can maintain our high standards and provide stability for our team. As a valued client, we kindly ask you to read and adhere to the following guidelines.
By choosing our services, you agree to the outlined terms and conditions and acknowledge that accepting the estimate legally binds you to these terms.
- Service Agreement:
- Our services are provided based on the agreement between Coutinho Cleaning and the client. Details such as the type, frequency, and cost of services will be outlined in this agreement.
2.
Access to Property:
- Customers can choose from three entry options: be present during cleaning, provide a lockbox, or share a garage/front door code. If you choose to remotely unlock and lock the entry door, Coutinho Cleaning is not responsible for securing the house. Clients are responsible for providing access to their property at the scheduled time. If our team is unable to access the property, the appointment may be rescheduled, and a fee may apply. We do not hold, maintain, or take possession of any property keys for security reasons.
3.
Payment Terms:
- Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed. We accept various payment methods: Cash, Check, Venmo, Zelle.
Late payments may incur additional charges.
4.
Rescheduling or Canceling Cleanings Visits:
- Consistent cleanings ensure discounted rates. We accommodate rescheduling whenever possible. Cancellations made with 48 hours' notice will incur a charge of 30% of the cleaning fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a charge of 50% of the cleaning fee. Same-day cancellations will incur the full cleaning fee. Emergency cases will be handled individually.
5.
Satisfaction Guarantee:
- We strive to deliver the highest quality service. If you are not satisfied, please contact us within 24 hours, and we will address your concerns promptly.
6.
Liability:
- While we take great care in delivering our services, Coutinho Cleaning is not responsible for any damage or loss due to pre-existing conditions or items not disclosed to our staff. If we cause damage or breakage to an item, we will inform you immediately and work to find a fair solution for repair or replacement within reason. If you notice any breakage or damage that we may have missed, please report it to us within 24 hours. Please note that we cannot assume liability for items that were broken or damaged due to unstable bases, improper attachment, or failure to secure items to the wall.
7.
Price Increases:
- We reserve the right to adjust customer rates and will notify you before any price changes.
8.
Digital Media:
- We may take photos before and after specific environments or places for reference and training purposes (stove, refrigerator, kitchen counter, shower, toilet).
- We respect your privacy and will not disclose any images without your consent.
9.
Permanent Service Cancellation:
- Both the company and the customer agree to a 30-day notice before permanent service termination for courtesy purposes.
10.
Valuables:
- We handle your valuables with the utmost care. In the unlikely event of any damage, we will promptly inform you and make every effort to repair or replace the item. We understand that certain items hold personal significance. To ensure their safety, please inform us of these items and secure them appropriately on cleaning days (e.g., wedding rings, jewelry, artwork, collectibles, etc.).
11.
Employee Requests:
- Customers agree not to request directly with any of our employees for home-related services, nor exchange contact information with them. Violation of this policy will result in a penalty fee of $2,500 and immediate termination of the contract. This policy is in place to protect our business and our team members.
12.
Climate Control:
- To ensure a comfortable working environment, we request that the temperature of your home be maintained within a range that is conducive to effective cleaning. Extreme temperatures can affect the quality of our services and the well-being of our staff. Please adjust your thermostat accordingly or inform us if there are any specific climate control needs.
13.
Employee Health and Safety:
- The health and safety of our employees are a top priority. We adhere to strict hygiene practices and safety protocols to protect both our staff and clients. We do not clean animal feces, human blood, bodily fluids, or any hazardous material that could potentially put our employees’ health at risk. Additionally, we do not clean mold, asbestos, or any other harmful substances that require specialized training or equipment. We also avoid cleaning areas that cannot be reached with a 2-step ladder, such as high ceilings or hard-to-reach corners. Our cleaning technicians are strictly prohibited from moving heavy items that require more than two people or specialized equipment to move safely.
14.
Annual Service Rates Adjustment:
Starting on the anniversary of your service each year, a 4% rate adjustment will be applied to your current service fees. This adjustment is essential to maintain the high standards you expect from Coutinho Cleaning. Here’s how it benefits you:
- Improved Quality: The adjustment enables us to continue using top-tier eco-friendly cleaning products and advanced equipment, ensuring efficiency and environmental responsibility in every service.
- Team Support: Our dedicated team is at the core of Coutinho Cleaning. This adjustment reflects our commitment to fair wages and supporting the ongoing professional growth of our staff.
- Continuous Improvement: The cleaning industry is constantly evolving, particularly in green practices. The rate adjustment allows us to invest in ongoing training, ensuring our team stays updated with the best techniques to keep your home clean and healthy.

Changes to Terms:
- Coutinho Cleaning reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes. For any questions or concerns about these terms, please
